First, scope of application:
SWC medium-sized universal couplings are mainly used in steel rolling mill, piercing machine, straightening machine, crusher and ship drive and other mechanical use occasions, is a widely used universal shaft product series.
Its flange diameter is 160-620mm, transmitting rated torque range 16-1000kN.m, and the axis folding angle is 15°.
Second, the structure characteristics:

According to JB5513-91 standard, SWC-I and SWC type universal coupling refer to the following method of selection:

Note:
1. In general, according to the transfer of torque and bearing life selection of universal coupling, but also according to the specific requirements of the use of machinery and equipment, only check the torsional strength or bearing life of one;
2. When the coupling in the horizontal and vertical plane at the same time exists between the axis of the folding angle, should also calculate its synthetic axis of the folding angle;
3. Part of the special use of environmental conditions, universal coupling in the selection stage to consider the use of speed and dynamic balancing requirements;
4. Cross shaft type universal coupling should be selected according to the load characteristics, calculated torque, bearing life and working speed and other related factors.

L – standard length, for the retractable type, the length L is the minimum length in the shortened state;
Lv – elongation;
m–Mass;
Tn – nominal torque (take 50% of the yielding torque);
Tf–Fatigue torque, i.e. the permissible torque determined by fatigue strength under variable bending load;
β – the maximum axis folding angle;
